10 And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians marched after them. So they were very afraid, and the children of Israel cried out to the LORD. 11 Then they said to Moses, “Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you so dealt with us, to bring us up out of Egypt? 12 Is this not the word that we told you in Egypt, saying, ‘Let us alone that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than that we should die in the wilderness.” 13 And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. 14 The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”
Exodus 14:10-14
On the way out of slavery, the children of Israel were confronted with their greatest fear. Held in slavery by the will of the Egyptian people, their day of freedom had arrived. Led by a leader named Moses, a nation set out into the wilderness in search of their new land that God had promised. A land described flowing with milk and honey. They saw the mighty miracles that God performed through Moses. They witnessed the greatness of God’s power as He sent plague after plague upon the Egyptian people. Now the children of Israel were free. Seeing that they no longer have slaves to work their fields, the army of Egypt rose up to take the people back into slavery. Facing their enemies, fear and panic began to run through the Israeli camp. The brave leader Moses rose up and spoke to the people. Do not be afraid. God will fight your battles. You may be facing an overwhelming enemy. I want to encourage you with this Word. Do not be afraid. God will fight your battles. He has loved you with an everlasting love. You might feel that you are alone. Your fight may look impossible. Alone it is, but with God all things are possible. He is on your side and He is ready to fight for you. Hold your peace. Don’t let fear conquer your heart. Place your eyes on your savior Jesus Christ. He has never lost a fight. That day, the children of Israel saw the hand of the Lord move on their behalf and their enemies were destroyed. I believe it is your time to see your enemies defeated before you. That enemy of fear and doubt will be defeated in the name of Jesus. Your citation will turn into a blessing. Do not be afraid. God is for you. Hold onto your peace. Don’t let the devil steal it. He is a liar. The bible says there is no truth in him. Believe the Word of God. You will have the victory.
Prayer: Father, I thank You for victory. The devil is a conquered foe. He is also a liar. I will reject fear and keep my eyes upon You. With You, I can do all things. I believe that I am more then a conqueror. In the mighty name of Jesus, amen.
